Things to Prepare for Wedding Planning

When it comes to wedding planning there are many things that you need to think about and prepare for. Most weddings end up being anywhere from fifty people or more and this means that the preplanning of the wedding is crucial to make sure that everything goes off without a hitch. If you're getting married and planning your wedding you'll want to start months in advance so that you have time to have everything exactly as you want it. Wedding planning starts with picking a date so that you can make sure that all other planning centers around it. Once you have the date picked you'll have to see if the church is available. If you're having your wedding in a place other than a church you'll want to make sure that the minister or priest is available on that date.

After the date of the wedding has been confirmed you're ready to plan the rest of it. You'll need to have an exact guest count so that you know how big a space you need to rent for your reception. You'll also need to have an approximate head count so that you can get your invitations ready to send out. It's polite to send your wedding invitations out at least six weeks in advance and even sooner for those guests that you have arriving from out of town. After you have a head count and know exactly how many people are coming to your wedding you'll need to hire a caterer. Weddings usually have a more elaborate menu than other celebrations but if you're on a limited budget you might have to choose carefully.

Many caterers will give you a discount for the more people that you have attending so if you're having a large wedding you might be able to find some special rates. There are many other details that need to be taken care of when planning weddings but the date, the location, invitations, and caterer are the main focus points.

Music for Film and TV:
A Report from the Hollywood Reporter/Billboard Conference

By Scott G (The G-Man)

"Forget the name of this thing," one audience member said of The Hollywood Reporter Billboard Film and TV Music Conference, "it's really all about the politics and money it takes to put your music in a flick." More than one attendee privately agreed.

The underlying truth of that position may explain the conflicting points made by the more than two dozen speakers. For example, Glen Ballard was optimistic while maintaining a healthy dose of pessimism. Mark Mothersbaugh was elated yet often reliant on quietly humorous sarcasm. Chris Douridas was excited while being realistic and determined. And so it went during the two-day event held at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood, with every panel member upbeat about many aspects of the industry while acknowledging that there are lots of problems.
